Flowood, MS builder Wesley Roberts of R & R Construction and Consulting, LLC recently broke ground on the State’s first Mississippi Solar Ready Home™.  Roberts is an experienced, third-generation builder who holds a BS in Civil Engineering.  He has long dreamed of offering customers interested in renewable energy something new and exciting.  That dream is now a reality! Construction of a three bedroom, 1,581 square foot home located at 528 Glensview Drive in Flowood, MS is now complete. 

To make this happen, Roberts teamed up with Mississippi Solar, LLC of Philadelphia, MS to build a home that is not only solar ready but energy efficient.  The home will be ENERGY STAR Certified and is projected to consume at least 30% less energy than a home built to the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code.  In addition to the many energy efficient upgrades, the home is already pre-wired for the installation of solar panels.  The prospective buyer will have the option to add up to 15 solar panels, making this home a near NET-ZERO energy home.
