Carolyn & Will Hegman, founders of Mississippi Solar, designed their first solar and wind system for a forty foot sailing sloop in the Caribbean in the 1980’s. Carolyn & Will not only have designed and installed off-grid, grid-tie and grid-tie with battery back-up solar PV systems, but they have solar installed at both their home and business. Their solar carport produces enough energy from the sun to power their electric car plus most of their household needs.
Mississippi Solar designed systems are individually reviewed and inspected by NABCEP Certified PV Installer / Mississippi licensed Professional Engineer – William Turberville.
We are pleased to offer site assessment, design/permit packages and energy audits in addition to our solar engineering, procurement and contracting services.
Mississippi Solar is authorized sales & service provider for back-up generators and electric vehicle (PEV/PHEV) level one and level two charging stations.
Our staff provides grant writing and technical assistance for the grant writing process. Mississippi Solar installed the first USDA REAP grant awarded solar array for a poultry farm in Mississippi.
We are actively pursuing agreements with Homebuilders to incorporate our Mississippi Solar Ready Home concept into their building projects.
